Photographs by Herb Gustafson, Hon.PSA, FPSA, PPSA

Minnesota resident Herb Gustafson, Hon.PSA, FPSA, PPSA joined PSA in 1957 and, as told by the acronyms following his name, has been very busy in the Society. He has made contributions in the Color Slide, Nature, Photo Travel, and Pictorial Print Divisions, frequently serving as Director of various committees, both in the United States and overseas. Between 1989 and 1996 he served as Editor to two columns in the PSA Journal. As a result of his various contributions, Herb is also highly awarded, having received, among others, the Stuyvesant Peabody and Victor Scales Memorial Awards in 1989 and 2000, respectively. He earned a PSA Service Medal in 1995 and a gold Editorial Star in 2000.

He received his PPSA in July 2002, having garnered four stars each in the Color Slide and Nature Divisions, three stars each in Photojournalism and Photo Travel, and two stars in the Pictorial Print Division.
