Trudy Runyon, PPSA, of Lindenhurst, New York earned her PPSA in 2008 after recovering from a devastating fire in May of 2006 when she lost everything she owned including most of her slides, computer and records.  She gives thanks to Carol Bailey and Laura Davies for helping her to receive her star ratings and subsequently to receive her PPSA.  It wasn't until after her daughter was grown that she joined the Lindenhurst Camera Club where she has served as President and, currently, Vice President.

She served as Recording Secretary for the Photographic Federation of Long Island for many years and also co-chaired with Andrew Kurchey, the 1998 Photographic Federation of Long Island International Exhibition.  Prior to becoming co-chair she worked on several of their Exhibitions and was accorded both an APFLI and then an FPFLI.

Trudy has earned her first Galaxy in the Color Projected Image Division and 5 Stars in Nature.  She has received many acceptances in Photo Travel and some in Photojournalism.  Her favorite subjects include insects, flowers and anything dealing with nature.  Other favorites include photographing people and doing still lifes.
