Bailey Donnally, FPSA, PPSA, Lake Forest, Illinois.

Bailey has been active in Photography since he received a small plastic "Brownie" camera and developing kit in 1943.  His first major award was the Grand Prize in the 1948 Kodak High School Photographic Awards.  He is a member of North Shore Camera Club, and is active in the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA).  He has served PSA as Treasurer, Chairman of the Techniques Division, Program Director of PPD, and has been a member of numerous committees, including the Honors Committee.  He has taught at Lake Forest College, from which he has retired.

Bailey is interested in a wide range of photographic subjects, loves to travel and lectures frequently on both traditional photography and the new world of digital imaging.  He loved the darkroom work for nearly 60 years but now does digital work exclusively.  His photographs have been exhibited on all seven continents.

Bailey has exhibited photographs as recently as October 2005 in the Schonnenschein Gallery in Lake Forest, IL where he showed about 80 prints.  The gallery staff said that this show had the largest attendence of any show in recent years.  He joined PSA in 1969.
