Bailey Donnally, FPSA, PPSA,
Lake Forest, Illinois.
Bailey has been active in Photography since he received a
small plastic "Brownie" camera and developing kit in 1943. His first major
award was the Grand Prize in the 1948 Kodak High School Photographic Awards.
He is a member of North Shore Camera Club, and is active in the Chicago Area
Camera Clubs Association (CACCA). He has served PSA as Treasurer, Chairman of
the Techniques Division, Program Director of PPD, and has been a member of
numerous committees, including the Honors Committee. He has taught at Lake
Forest College, from which he has retired.
Bailey is interested in a wide range of photographic subjects, loves to travel
and lectures frequently on both traditional photography and the new world of
digital imaging. He loved the darkroom work for nearly 60 years but now
does digital work exclusively. His photographs have been exhibited on all
seven continents. Bailey has
exhibited photographs as recently as October 2005 in the Schonnenschein
Gallery in Lake Forest, IL where he showed about 80 prints. The gallery
staff said that this show had the largest attendence of any show in recent
years. He joined PSA in 1969. |
