| Kathy Potter | I liked your usage of chalk and your subject matter. You have done a splendid portrait of Tiger Woods minus his golf club. Their is good highlighting and blending in your character, the only thing that my eye strays too is the blended portion of his face near his mouth. The softness of this area seems to conflict somewhat with the chalk grain of the rest of the face and their's a little bit of JPEG pixeling around the out side of the chin and lip. But, I'm being picky...You did a great job, I'm sure It would be hard for me to do as well. Welcome to our club, we feel honored! |
| Mindy Leeds | A classic shot of Tiger Woods and your treatment of it is quite nice. The brush strokes are very good and I like the framing you put on it. |
| Rhonda Campbell | I like the way he added texture to the portrait, making it look like a painting and not a photograph. |
| Shawn Schertzer | This is a good image that shows detail where necessary and bright colors associated with a game of summer. I find the texture of the glove distracting, however. The attention to light detail on the frame is noteworthy. |
| Susan Bailey | I like this study of Tiger. The blue glove bothers me a bit but your choice of bright and shadow areas is very nice. I also like that you have kept all the blue area together... the hat color isolated and green background. It gives an image that is easy for my eye to look at, not cluttered at all. |
| Stephan Funke | Here we have brisk, fresh colors, which give the image a positive expression. As to be a "painting" I wonder whether the sharp, exact selektion of our hero (Tiger is of Thai origin) out of the background is the best possible solution. In my humble opinion a less careful, paintlery one would be in order. I also would suggest to do the brush strokes of the background in a less regulary way. Sport images are like all movement pictures. Movement needs space around and a very tight crop like the one we have here works like a cage. |
