Title: Other bare trunks

How I did it:-

This picture was taken last October in Carhue, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The technical specifications are: Canon EOS 7D, Canon 10-22 mm lens., F/13, speed 1 / 80, ISO 200, focal length 10 mm.
First, It was opened with the PS5 Camera Raw, then I’ve done some adjustments with "Levels" and "Brightness / Contrast", finally I have changed it  to mono with Silver Efex Pro In "Dark Sepia", and again adjustments with the same tools, and finally I have decided to set a 12% Sepia filter to give it a sepia tone higher, as the printed version had on some sectors, especially in the sky, a slight cyan tone.
What do you think?

Diana Magor I like the shapes shown here but I feel it needs much stronger contrast to bring the trees out from the background and I think the sky needs some treatment to make it more dominant. It doesn't look at all sepia on my computer.
Jennifer Doerrie

Although I like the composition of this image, I’m still trying to decide how I feel about the sepia toning in the sky.  Was the tree on the right leaning that much ,or was that exaggerated by the wide angle lens? I’m also inclined to straighten it a bit.

Stephen Levitas

Masterful. You have created an aura of anticipation with the diagonal line and the placement of the tree limbs against the sky.

Carol McCreary

Nice contrasting scenic - very good lead-in with the stream.  I would like to see one main tree be the center of interest instead of so many in the photo.  The further trees tend to blend in with the sky.  Try another crop.

Wes Odell

The message here is “Cold.”  And the message comes through very well.  Your conversion treatment to sepia with Silver Efex is super.  Very sharp.  Nice.

Jose's Bio

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1963.
I am a lawyer but my passion is photography.

I began learning “to take best pictures” but quickly I began to participate in collective exhibitions (with my photoclub) and Competitions in Argentine Exhibitions. I frequently participate in Competitions in Argentina and in other countries (Exhibitions FIAP and PSA).

I have gained the AFIAP (International Federation of Photography), PPSA (going to being received in the next Conference) and DFAF (Argentine Federation of Photography) achievements.

I have been President of the Argentine Federation of Photography (period 2004-2006) and currently I am Vice-President until next year.

I am also a photographic judge in my country. This year I judged the Internationals Exhibitions of Quilmes and 30/40 (both in Argentina with PSA and FIAP recognition).

I teach photography composition and basic photoshop in my photoclub.

I love to travel, so my images consist of showing the places and people I have visited. I also like to take photographs in natural places (landscapes, mountains, birds, etc.), specially in the Argentine Patagonia, where, as well, I photograph rural activity.

I prefer to participate in a monochrome study group because is one of my favorite sections and I would liked to improve my technical knowledge. I worked many years in black and white laboratory and I learned to appreciate this photographic style.
