Title - Garden of the Gods #9

How I did it -

This image is one of many I photographed at the Garden of the Gods.  This is a great place to wear out a shutter.  I balanced the image with levels and L/H.  I also used a polarizing filter.

COMMENTS:

Lynn Ronan I think you captured a beautiful sky and a serene scene. I like the contrast between the green of the foreground and the red in the rocks.  My only suggestion would be to crop the bottom right rock out since it keeps drawing my eye out of the picture.
Kathy Brand

The clouds and blue sky make the picture.  I would try cropping some of the foreground grass so that attention is focused on the vertical rocks and the beautiful sky.

Jon Fishback I think the rocks are a nice contradiction to the sky which is, to me, has a lot of impact.  I do think you should clone out the rock in the lower right corner.
Benny Baughman Leaving that much sky in helps to balance out the foreground, and it is a great looking sky.  The lower right boulder locks the corner and starts leading to the formation on the middle. It has just the right amount of light.
Alice Meronek

This is a really pretty area. I find that the greenery is a bit dark, and does not have the pop that sunlight should have added to the scene with that bright sky.

Edwin Roth

Nicely exposed image of what truly appears to be a beautiful location, I like the clarity and sharpness all the way thru the image...my only other thought is ; I wonder if the image would be even stronger if you cropped off 25-30 percent of the left hand facing side.

I became interested  in photography while in high school. That's about 55 year ago. I chose the photography class as one of my electives.  I found I liked photography.

After high school I went to Laney College to learn more about photography. I was drafted while at Laney. After I got out of the service I did make my living in photography.  In the early sixties I had an oppotunity to work for the Xerox Corp.  I took the job.

Being caught up in a new field I drifted away from photography for about 20 years.  In 1984 I joined PSA. A good move. I am also a member of the Napa Camera Club.  It is an outstanding Camera Club.
