| Marie Altenburg | This photo is beautiful, peaceful and makes me want to visit Cork myself, Margaret. If the cathedral’s spire was positioned slightly off center though, I think it would be an even more striking image. You could either crop a bit from the side of the photo, or simply take another trip to Ireland and re-do the shot! |

The lighting is quite nice and certainly makes the photograph. The
church makes for a nice center point of interest and the lighting on
hte buildings is quite nice. The two things I change, the image is a
little centered and the water does not add a whole lot to the image.
So I would crop the bottom a little bit and work on the sky. I think
if you play with it a little more, the sky could be a little more dramatic and vibrant. |
| Louis Duncan | Probably viewers will see each image from a different perspective. I like this image but would give it a different treatment. For me this is a photo of the cathedral; therefore, I would make sure the bell tower is exactly vertical, highlight the cathedral to separate it from surrounding buildings, and slightly tone down the brightness of the waterfront buildings. The clouds seem to have a slightly brown tone and I would try to change the color temperature of the clouds from warm to cool. |
| Vicki DeVico | Margaret, this is a lovely shot and I can see how the lighting attracted you to this scene. I think a bit of sharpening might bring out the details on the cathedral and improve the image...otherwise a very nice capture. |

Southern Ireland can be very nice – apart from the badly kept roads!
This is lovely, but I would recommend a grad on top and bottom to make
the buildings stand out even more. This can be added in the computer.
The off-centre placing of the cathedral works well. |
| Carol McCreary | I really like this photo but I would work some more on it. First crop off 1 inch on the right to place the cathedral tower better in the photo. Than burn the sky, dodge the buildings. I would add more contrast or saturation to pop the colors in the buildings. If you have topaz simplify, try blue sky or color jump to really make this photo snap. Even Topaz buzz could be a photo maker on this picture. |

Margaret Price - Biography
I'm a keen amateur
photographer and I live about half way up the East
Coast of Australia. I've always been a Nikon
enthusiast starting with an F3 up to my present
day D200. I love travelling which is a
reason to take lots of photos. We travel to
the USA regularly to ski in Aspen.
