July Image - Artemis

How I did it -

This time I chose an image from January 2009, when I try to work about Goddesses.        (I show you “Amphitrite” in March 2009. I “Altered Reality” only added the moon, the stars and the same image in the magnifying glass, the moon is paste from a real moon’s image, the stars of course not, they are made in PS using a pen and after blurred (need to be improved) and finally add the image in the glass (duplicate layer, after “Ctrl T” in the duplicate layer to reduce and positioned it in the glass). Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and that she was the twin sister of Apollo, was a moon goddess. She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women .

There is so much going on in this one.  I especially like the look in the model's eyes ... and the way her arms make a dynamic triangle ... and the grace note of her left pinkie finger.  The restricted color palette based on the reds in her hair is perfect.  You are a master Andrés.  Bravo!

Claudia Peterson  So wonderful to have your marvelous images once more appearing on my computer screen. This is a super strong image that if in a magazine, I would stare for a long time. You have to look around the image to enjoy all of the parts of the whole. The texture of her skin against the (very Sharp) fabric, and then a third element, the fur, is enjoyable to my eyes. I appreciate the lighting and the strong message, even though the message, for me, is always secondary to the image. Her thumb on the left side is like an arrow pointing to what you ultimately want us to see. Great!!!!!!!!!.

Elli Kraizberg  Very nice. I would brighten the stars on the right side and reduce contrast on the stars near the moon. Since the source of light is from the left, perhaps a larger moon would make the lighting effect more believable, or, reduce brightness of the model.

Ian Ledgard  This is an image which has much of interest. There are many triangular shapes which make for strong composition. Then the small touches - the way the moon repeats the shape of the horn in reverse. Just one small area that I would choose to clone away is the highlights in the chair arm at the bottom right - once seen they repeatedly draw your eye away from the main subject..

Frank Crommelin  I like it very much, great impact, it's interesting and fun with great color. The only thing I would change is to clone out the chair arms the one on the left is bright and touches the border, the one on the right just hangs there in space. Defiantly a winner.
