July Title - Woman at Window

How I did it - The senior photography group  went to  the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown, NY a few weeks ago. A most interesting place. I saw this young woman washing dishes at the window and liked the way the light was coming in to illuminate up her face.

I have been holding a camera since I was l young girl. I used my mother's Brownie and when I first got married, bought a Kodak Tourist camera. In 1975 I took a photographic course at the local high school; when my first print came up in the developer, I knew I had found "my thing." I bought my first 35mm camera in 1976 when I took a course at the local college.

Soon after, I joined the Schenectady Photographic Society and have been an active member ever since. For the past fourteen years, I have been the editor of the Schenectady Photographic Society's newsletter, the Focus.

I live in a suburb of Albany, New York, the capital of New York State. My husband and I are both retired and most of our traveling now is to visit our three children and two grandchildren in Seattle, Dallas and Connecticut.
