February Title - What's He Thinking

How I did it : We survive the holidays – hope you did as well – and a trip to French Polynesia (Amnesia is when you forget who you ‘am;’ Fr. Polynesia is when you forget all your French….)

This group continues to serve as guinea pigs for my attempts to learn how to take portraits – an area in which I feel my skills are deficient. So, it’s portraits, for the next several months. This month it is a picture of a character in the historic recreation of Colonial Williamsburg in VA. This gentlemen was playing the part of a judge and looking somewhat skeptical about some testimony in the court room scene we were attending (Judge Judy, he’s not). It was taken with my Nikon D300, 1/40th sec, f/6.3, ISO 800, with my VR zoom at 270mm. Only cropping and a little cloning for post processing.

Member Bio
Bob Athanasiou

Bob is a semi-retired physician. He has been taking pictures for over 50 years but now, in addition to spending time working on his golf handicap, he's serious about improving his photography. He and his wife, Barbara, live in a huge retirement community called The Villages in central Florida. Barb is the webmistress for www.thevillagesphotoclub.org and you can see some of their pictures there.

Bob uses a Nikon D300, D200 and a Canon S75 for snap shots. He uses PaintShop Pro Photo XI and Capture NX to edit his photos.
