How I did it : We survive the holidays – hope you did as well – and a trip to French Polynesia (Amnesia is when you forget who you ‘am;’ Fr. Polynesia is when you forget all your French….)

This group continues to serve as guinea pigs for my attempts to learn how to take portraits – an area in which I feel my skills are deficient. So, it’s portraits, for the next several months. This month it is a picture of a character in the historic recreation of Colonial Williamsburg in VA. This gentlemen was playing the part of a judge and looking somewhat skeptical about some testimony in the court room scene we were attending (Judge Judy, he’s not). It was taken with my Nikon D300, 1/40^th sec, f/6.3, ISO 800, with my VR zoom at 270mm. Only cropping and a little cloning for post processing.
