| Laurie Thompson | Interesting
color effects. I think there is too much dead space white as it has no
purpose. Perhaps adding a night sky to the upper area and a reflection
of that into the white water area would bring it together. |
| Ruth Rittichier | Welcome
to our group, Anna. This was a good
subject
for an inversion, which turns your image into more of an abstract
painting than an ordinary photo. Adding some vertical Motion Blur
could make it even more abstract. |

| Phillipa Frederiksen | You
have created a simple High key,
abstract image that is quite intriguing! I like the way the reflections
do not have all the detail of the upper half of the image. Have you
tried eliminating the wide white stripe in the middle…just
have
a narrow stripe? |
| Hillary Morin | A
very simple yet creative abstract image. It may have a little too much
white space so you could decrease the width in the
middle to just a narrow strip and then pull the reflections downwards
(by cloning) so your image would maintain a 1/3 to 2/3rds ratio (top to
bottom). Playing with curves is lots of fun.
Another technique to try is combining your original photo with the
manipulated version in various layer blending modes. |
| Peter Rowley | The image reversal is a good starting point
for the subject, turning night to day, and ghosting the buildings.
Further filters can advance this process further to produce a unique
work of art. |

Biography
In August I retired from a 37 year career teaching Italian & French and, at last , have the time to develop my photography which has been on the back burner for the last 5 years , that is, since my husband bought me my own camera! I have started a degree in photography for which I have to publish an online learning blog and have also joined 3 photography clubs in my town which all have a different & individual take on the subject. I mostly enjoy playing with my images in PS, particularly using Curves in Adjustments. I love photographing motorbikes so you will be seeing a few of those! I need to develop my use of PS and become more proficient with it. Some of my images were inspired by poems of Robert Frost and Louis Untermeyer who were not only contemporaries but also friends. My photography can be seen at: http://www.redbubble.comMy learning blog: |
