Wow! What a lovely scene! Thanks for capturing and sharing! I love the rainbow dancing atop the falling water.

Excellent photo!
|
| Jarrett Reagan | What a great
photo! It took me a few minutes to study and take in the scene. It
draws the eye into the falls and to the rainbow at the bottom. Very
good!

Joan Field -
Biography Born in Yonkers, NY, I still retain a slight Bronx accent. I received a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, and failed to pursue it in the job market after having my first child. I was politically active as a Democrat for quite a few years, ran for office a few times and failed, but it was fun. I was also a partner in an advertising agency for ten years before moving to CA and switching to my own version of computer graphics. My husband, George, and I lived for 26 years in New Jersey before moving to CA, his home state, about 15 years ago. We spent four + years in Danville, which is near San Francisco, and another four years in the Los Angeles (Orange County) area, when in 1997 we moved back to Danville (to a different house). We have two children, my daughter, who is living in Burlingame, and my recently married son who is working on his residency in anesthesiology. I have been a member of various camera clubs since 1984 when I purchased my first 35 mm camera. Before that, I was the typical amateur, but used a Ciroflex or Rolleicord twin lens reflex in the travel mode. The Contra Costa Camera Club is my current affiliation, but has also been a member of both the ACES (Anaheim Camera Enthusiasts Club) in Orange County, CA and the West Essex Camera Club in New Jersey. I have been a member of several slide circuits since 1985 and, in addition to my sheparding SSG #23; I am also administrator of the PD Digital Imaging Circuit #4. PSA has published my Digital Imaging Recorded Lecture. My photography covers a wide range of interests, although I love to play in the macro field to achieve results. Strong graphics and simplicity are other goals. Today my primary interest is in photo manipulation using Photoshop 7.0. I have done quite well with these photos in camera club. Also I like to put short slide shows together with music, having recently converted from a dissolve unit to PowerPoint and an LCD projector. If you haven’t done this, try it, its fun! 69 years old, I have recently retired from my business, except for some local clients. My computer system has expanded with the need to serve one of my clients effectively and my lust for photo manipulation. My current computer system is a Macintosh G4 with 450 MHz speed and 1.5 gigs of RAM, two hard drives. My monitor is a RasterOps SuperScan Mc21. Color printers include the Epson Stylus 2200 and a Color Laser-writer, the QMS/Minolta Magicolor 330, which can handle up to 13 x 19. Toner is very expensive, however. My slide scanner is the Nikon Super Coolscan 4000, which gives remarkable matching from slide to screen. I have been successful in entering some non-PSA digital imaging competitions and have been published in Popular Photography annual (1997) and getting published in their 1998 Digital Imaging Guide. Photographic equipment: Nikon F100, Nikon 8008S, 50 mm, 20mm, 28 mm, 80 - 200 mm Nikkor lenses, 200 mm Nikkor micro lens, 500 mm Nikkor mirror lens, (none of these are auto focus), a Tamron 60-300 mm, and finally, my only auto focus lenses, a Tamron 28-300 mm and a Tamron 200. 400 mm. None of these are very fast lenses. Also a Nikon 2X extender, SB 28 & 24 Nikon flash units, tripods, filters, etc. Over the years, the tripods continue to shrink as my age expands
