| Carole Kropscot | You found a great scene and positioned yourself and your camera in the right spot. The silhouetted items look so perfect there. There are enough cloud formations to keep me interested in looking around the image. Very nice. |
| David Price | Nice cloud shapes although on my screen the colors are still a bit muted but the cover looks heavy toward the horizon so I would guess it didn't get much better. I also think the foreground is a bit busy. |
| Ruth Rittichier | The sunrise is gorgeous with the variety of tones, and the red sun peeking through. It looks slightly overexposed to me, and might benefit from some highlight reduction with Shadow/Highlight. I like the idea of silhouettes in the foreground, but would prefer much less of them, as they seem to compete with the sky rather than compliment it. Could you have moved to get the sun out of the center, and only one main element in silhouette? |
| Walter Ross |
This is a very nice early morning image of the sun coming up. The image is well cropped and the border really adds to the image. |
| Barbara Kuebler | Your image is interesting because of the sharp silhouettes in the foreground. The image is well exposed and the border compliments the image. |
| Diana Fernandez | great image. I really enjoy
simple silhouettes against colorful background in landscapes. The colors are almost subtle yet effective. I think if the colors were over saturated then it would lose the serene aspect of the image that makes it so pleasant. The diagonal path adds even more interest to the photo. |

Elizabeth Lautner -
Biography My passion with photography began at the age of 8 when my favorite Aunt gave me a Brownie for Christmas. I spent the next 10 years taking photos of anything and everything in Victoria, Texas. The last 2 years of High School I worked for a local photographer and earned the money for my first "real" camera, an Argus C-3 and the introduction to slides. This remained my MO through wife, motherhood and various other careers until I discovered the Canon A-1. From that point on I used many Canon's; a GS3, an EOS 650, Elan ll, and finally a D-10. Digital changed my life along with Photoshop CS. I received my first "Best of Show" in a popular, South Texas, annual photography exhibition and contest when I was 73 (out of 500 entries). My favorite area for scenics is Big Bend. I also love to photograph flowers and Southwest Architecture. I've experimented with manipulation and creativity and have had some success with that aspect. I joined PSA in 2004 and attended my first conference, this year, in Tucson. Currently, I teach Digital photography and Photoshop Elements 5.0 at the local Senior Center in New Braunfels, Texas, where I now live. |
