Egg Pattern

How I did it -

Since I just moved I had to wade through boxes to get to the computer so I hope this image will be ok. Most of my decent images are on my external hard drive but I can¹t find it at the moment. While in Florida last Easter, I bought some colored eggs and decided to photograph them. I went into Photoshop and used the dry brush filter at 5, texture 2 & detail at 9. Then still with filters I added windblast and then used polar‹rectangular. After that I picked up the color with the eye dropper tool and made the border adding slight white color to it.

Betty Billingham	.Polar Coordinates filter is one of my favourites and here you have put it to good use, but I think the picture would be much stronger if you got rid of that harsh line from the top. A little cloning for instance and you could make the yellow egg so much smaller that it would fit next to the others.
Mark Southard	.
Nick Muskovac	.There are many colors here to work with. The line in the top middle does not seem to fit in. I might have left some of the eggs in the photo with their original patterns.
Paula Davies	.You have made an interesting abstract pattern and produced a very modern result.
Sam Shaw	.You have created a very pleasant image. I could see the polar coordinates filter but was having a hard time figuring out how just that filter would have created what you are showing. Guess it is the Dry Brush and Wind Blast.

	Leonie Holmes I was born in England but have lived in Canada since 1966. I became serious about photography in 1976 and have been crazy about it ever since. I sell my work from my website and also from solo shows and art auctions. I am an accredited judge and like going to various camera clubs to judge. I currently use a Canon 40D, 5D and just bought a Canon SX100IS. A nice small point & shoot to take on vacations.
