Fibers

How I did it -

Photographing through glass has always been a favorite of mine. It is such fun to find so many shapes, distortions and colors. Fibers is one of these that really didn't need much change, but I just couldn't resist and starting playing around with color and then added a light touch of the filter Ink Outlines.

Avis Davidson

Approximately 27 years ago I received a camera as a gift and from that moment, my passion for photography was born. I bought every how-to book; joined a camera club; took as many courses and seminars as I could, and was taken under the wing by a few excellent photographers. I have entered many competitions and received several awards.

The need to express my photography in an artful way led me to purchase every filter under the sun and try many different techniques.

The darkroom added another dimension for creativity. However, the first time I saw the digital creative process, I was hooked; every tool imaginable was to hand.

Digital restoration is another interest and this worked itself into a very small business and for several years, I also photographed weddings and social events.

For the past 10 years I have been the President of the Moose Hill Camera Club in Sharon, MA. We are a small group and have grown very close to one another.

I have been in the field of Sleep Medicine for many years. It’s a very interesting science and there is never a boring moment. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson reside in CT. We get together as often as possible. My home is filled with 4 little dogs, 2 Yorkshire Terriers, a Maltese and a ShihTzu mix. They keep me very busy.
