| Mark Aksoy | The richly detailed feathers of the vulture's outstretched left wing make this image work! The bird almost seems to hang in the air - making it a peaceful atmospheric wildlife shot. There is a small but visible smudge about 1 inch down from the vulture's right wing. This can easily be cloned out. |
| Cliff Banks | Well caught picture of the bird in flight ,I love the translucence of the wings but find the underside just a little too dark. |
| Dick Cotterman | Nice capture. I never would have dreamed it was a turkey. Perhaps adding a bit of cloud background would have added to the image. Looks like a great feature to add to other sky filled images. Wish I had shot this one. |

| Mary Heiting | Good capture of the light through the wings and such fine quality good camera speed. A very difficult shot. |

Ellie Webster - Biography
I joined the Peninsula Colorslide Club and PSA in
1975 and have been entranced with photography ever
since. I purchased my first SLR when I was teaching
in Germany in 1956 but did not become much more than
a point and shooter till I joined the camera club in
1975 and was introduced to "serious"
photographers. Best thing I ever did. I am a firm
believer "in giving back". So, as a member
of an organization I feel the need to work for it (I
wish more of us did). As a result I hold positions
at the club, council and national (PSA)
levels. |
