JULY  Image -" Flying Bird".

How I did it -

This is a toy bird hanging on its beak. I wanted to see this bird in bit a motion without loosing its original beauty.

Here How I did it: I shot this on “Raw”format. I mounted my camera Nikon 8700 Coolpix on tripod with a flash in bounce direction to avoid harsh shadow. I set my camera on “Manual” with opening f22 and shutter speed ranging from1/4 to full 2 second to record the motion. When I moved the bird with finger it was going around & around. I took several shots with bounce flash at different shutter speed in order to record the motion. This was the best I selected for the show. Later on, I used adjustment level such as brightness/Contrast, color balance & sharpness in the Photoshop. Looking for your comments.

Shaikh Amin 

FPSA, PPSA, EFIAP, ASIIPC, HON.FICS HON.FPSG, SAWIEP

 Shaikh Amin started his photography career in 1965 after completing a diploma course from the New York Institute of Photography. He served in different position in the Photo Unit of Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco) and retired as Chief Photographer in 1985.

Shaikh Amin, a PSA member for 41 years, has received many medals, honors and certificates for his photographic achievements during this period. These include 38 gold medals from different Int’l Salons and Exhibitions and 3 awards from the United Nations. He also won 2nd place in color photography at the 1976 International Industrial Photography Competition in New York.
In recognition of excellence and achievement in his field, Shaikh Amin:
Was elected APSA in 1994
Received Speaker's award 1996
Awarded Associateship from India 1997
Awarded PSA Service Gold Medal 1997 at 59th PSA Conference
Awarded Certificate of Excellence 1998 from FIAP, Luxembourg
Was honored FPSA 2000
PPSA 2000
Speaker's award for 'Best of Pakistan' 2000
Awarded Prize of Excellence 2001 UNESCO (Accu)
Was honored HON. FICS 2002 from Image Colleague Society Int'l Ltd USA
Received Galaxy Award (1st) 2004 ( in Color Slide Div.)
He also achieved Galaxy Award 2 in CS in 2006.

Shaikh Amin is a PSA Int'l Rep. (IR) in Pakistan from 1995 till to date. He gives his photographic services voluntarily to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) for the last 8 years in preparation of yearly prospectus and other publications. He is also a vice president of Islamabad Camera Club.

Shaikh Amin, who holds three diplomas in Photography from USA and Switzerland, resides in Islamabad with his family but frequently travels to shoot pictures & gives slide show and has honor to do judging of International Exhibitions.
