Marsh marigolds

These were shot in northern Wisconsin ( Door County ) in late May. I shot a macro image which has been blended into the scene of a cluster of marigolds.

Image added: June 2008

COMMENTS:

Mindy Leeds I like the montage effect although I'm not sure I would have left in the fallen log as it sits on top of the bunch of flowers, which to me is somewhat distracting. Good color in the flowers and image overall.
Alastair Cochrane I would have preferred the original image of the cluster on its own. I'm not convinced that the macro shot adds anything to the image.
Snehendu Kar A very creative blending of images -- the macro and normal combination complement each other. The big tree trunk/branch is a bit distraction foe me; perhaps blurring it a bit morewould help?
Claire Riemer I like the juxtaposition of the large and smaller flowers but the log/tree stem in the background keeps competing for my attention. It is sharper than the larger flower and I think this is why my eye keeps being drawn there.
Allan Fleischer There is something that is almost in the center of the image that is very distracting.
Sukumar A very intriguing image. At the same time I also find it disorienting (angle of tree trunk) and confusing (transparency of macro image).
