The result is well worth the early rise to
get the shot. Your work on the image has added more drama to the
scene. I would like to see a larger image to appreciate the detail
that is lost in a small web image.

Excellent work!. Great sunrise. I like the dramatic sky. |

Lovely scene and time of day. Good HDR work, I think. Maybe moving the sunrise out of dead center (good term, eh?) would be the only suggestion. Perhaps moving in some also. Fine art work. |

I really like the rocky foreground that
emphasis the striking sunrise. |

Kenneth Eis Ken Eis started photography in High School in Boulder Colorado prompted by the beauty of the Colorado Mountains and fine fishing streams. After joining the Air Force in 1970 he graduated from 35mm film to a 6x6 Bronica and then a Toyo Field 4x5 view camera while stationed in Cape Ann Massachusetts, and then in North West Cape Australia. In the film and chemical days color work was laborious and smelly so Ken became less active in photography in the 80s and 90s. Upon retirement from the Air Force he joined Colorado State University’s faculty and took up photography again just as digital started in the early 1990s. Ken has progressed through many cameras, mostly Nikons and now has a D700 and all the necessary lenses and other equipment. His passion is still landscape. He is keen on HDR and stacked focus techniques and is learning Photoshop at a fast clip. Now retired from CSU he is planning on making travel/landscape photography his vocation and avocation and might even try losing some money as a professional. Ken is interested in improving the artistic and creative side of his skills and can help others on the technical side. The beauty of nature both large and small continues to captivate him and motivate him to get out of doors. Ken plans on doing more travel photography in the Desert SW as well Europe and South America. You can see some of his work at |
