Title: Religious Stained Glass Door
I took this image of the stained glass doors at a church in MD. Since I did not have a wide angle lens with me, I shot the 2 doors in 2 separate images, then cropped and joined them together in post processing. There are also some parts of the doors overexposed and glared by the sunlight, I used Burn and Dodge tools in PS to correct the shadows and highlights of the image.

I like this image and idea of stitching two images to get the whole subject. Exposure and colors looks very good to me. Technically the left piece horizontals are slightly off and from my experience the easiest way to fix it is using crop tool with checked perspective. Darkening small, bright spots would help the image. |

Stained glass images are often troublesome due to light variation but you have handled this well in post work. You have also shown ingenuity by combining two files while maintaining all the vertical and horizontal lines. I would tone down or even eliminate the bright key lock in the middle. Excellent image.

This image has a lot going for it. The subject matter is iconic and stained glass subjects usually have a range of vivid colors. The various hardware is distracting and I would like to see this image with the items cloned out. I believe final images should be ready to hang on my wall and the hardware would prevent that.

I think the conversion of the two images to one is seamless and the image has good saturation and exposure throughout, effectively showing the beautiful door. The only slight improvements I can suggest are firstly that there seems to be a fine white line on the bottom of the image on the LHS only, which could be removed and that the image is slightly unbalanced as the bottom of the dark door frame is missing from the shot. |
